Structure and Connection Details
The frame is designed around what will operate inside it. Spans up to 24 m are covered with trusses and no intermediate supports — enough for most warehouses with front-loading forklifts. Spans of 30–36 m are used where open floor space is needed for racking systems or oversized equipment: a column in the middle of a hall eats up more usable volume than it looks on a drawing. Column spacing and truss clearance height are calculated for the specific racking and equipment.
Panel insulation is chosen on two criteria — fire requirements and thermal regime. Mineral wool doesn't burn and is required where codes demand non-combustibility: production facilities, spaces with continuous occupancy. PIR is lighter and holds heat better at the same thickness, so it's used for cold-storage rooms and heated warehouses, where every centimeter of wall thickness matters.
Most problems come not from the panel itself but from its connection details. The wall-to-floor joint, the plinth, door framing and utility penetrations — that's exactly where cold bridges and condensation form. We handle these details ourselves, together with the concrete slab: when one contractor does the frame, envelope and floor, there's never a leak at a joint that nobody takes responsibility for.
